Is there a taste difference between using powdered or liquid cream in coffee?

I think a liquid creamer makes for a smoother and tastier cup of coffee!Is there a taste difference between using powdered or liquid cream in coffee?
The powdered cream is not really cream, it is an non-dairy product. I prefer half and half which is half cream and half milk.
