When cooking with coconut milk/cream, do you use the watery liquid as well, or just the white part?

Use all of it. It separates in the can, so you may want to turn the can over 10 minutes before opening, or shake it really well. The ';lite'; coconut milk doesn't separate as much.

I cook with coconut milk a lot. You can sub ';lite'; for half the amount without much effect on texture and no effect on taste. When cooking with coconut milk/cream, do you use the watery liquid as well, or just the white part?
All of it - with the cream there is no watery part-with the coconut milk in the can you use it all -shake to mix if you are not going to use the entire can-it has just separated -that's all. When cooking with coconut milk/cream, do you use the watery liquid as well, or just the white part?
You use all of it. You should stir it first if you want for better quality. I always use coconut milk. Saute your vegetables and after the meats before you add the coconut milk. It'll taste awesome!!
Yes
I use all of it.
